This little fella has only been in the greenhouse for about 4 months. It's a dwarf Banana Tree and should only reach roughly 1.5m in height before it starts producing bananas. I've always wondered how big a dwarfs' banana would be compared to a normal one, so I suppose I will find out soon.

As you can see, it's been moved onto its own attractive little plinth in pretty much the centre of the greenhouse. It gets much more light from natutal sunlight at well as from supplemental grow lights in this position. Previously it was next to the door in the walkway so it didn't get much chance to do a lot of growth early on.
Below is a close up of one of the pups that have just started to break through the surface. Once they are big enough you can separate these from the main plant and grow them up as individual trees, so hopefully by this time next year there will be a few more Dwarf Cavendish's dotted about.
