It's easy to get complacent in a growing environment, particularly when it comes to keeping things clean. However, regular cleaning of your grow room hydroponics equipment (and general area) will help extend their life spans, reduce chances of harbouring diseases/mould spores and make things look nice and sparkly when you're looking around. A clean grow environment is a happy grow environment.

As you can see in the first image, this HR-50 had been left too far in between cleans. Due to the light that gets through to the top spout, you tend to get quick algal growth inside.A good srub, however, can leave it looking almost brand new:

Always keep things clean, particularly between grows as this gives you your best opportunity to get things squeaky clean and ensure the best start in life for your new crop. Things like Oxy-plus or Essentials Room Clean are excellent products to clean your room/plastics with. Prevention is always better than a cure.
