Celebrity Chef, James Martin joins ‘The Children Are Our Future’ Campaign

James Martin promotes award-winning vegetable grower, Gerald Treweeks and Aquaculture-hydroponics' attempt to teach children about healthy eating.

James Martin, who currently presents the BBC's 'Saturday Kitchen', recently visited ‘Hasland Infant School’ in Chesterfield, South Yorkshire, where Gerald with the help of Aquaculture-hydroponics and other South Yorkshire companies, has built a vegetable garden based on the principles of hydroponics.

As Gerald highlights: “The aim of the garden has always been for the children to plant, nurture, cook and eat the vegetables they grow, and James was certainly superb in teaching the children how to cook vegetables, such as shallots and onions”.

Technical Director at Aquaculture-hydroponics, Mr Simon Spinks adds: “I have children myself, so I am really passionate about what Gerald is trying to do. It's fantastic news that someone with the publicity of James Martin is now on board. I have told Gerald that we will continue to give him whatever hydroponics equipment and advice he needs”.
