Fertometer
‘Eliminates guesswork’
Using the correct amount of nutrients is essential for growing healthy and productive plants. It is not uncommon for some growers to under or over feed potted plants because up to now the nutrients inside a pot has been virtually impossible to measure.
The Soil Fertometer is a very simple tool that uses electrical conductivity (EC) measurements to give you practical advice on using nutrients. No longer will you have to judge your plants nutrient requirements, simply insert the probe into the growing media and press the button.
The Fertometer uses a ‘traffic light’ system to indicate feeding requirements:
- The Yellow light will come on if your plants require feeding.
- The Green light will indicate that the soil has sufficient nutrients.
- Do not add any nutrients if the Red light shows.
Simple yet very effective, the Soil Fertometer is a must for all soil and coco growers. The Fertometer is designed to be used on potted plants that have developed a healthy root system, not young seedlings or cuttings.
The Fertometer is suitable for potted plants with moderate to high feeding requirements. The Fertometer is not recommended for plants that thrive on little nutrients such as orchids.
The Fertometer requires a 9V block battery (not included).
