What's hydroponics?

Hydroponics is the process of growing plants without soil. Instead, plants are grown in an inert media. As the grower, it's up to you to supply your plants with essential nutrients and water.

Overall, the aim of hydroponics is to establish a perfect growing environment around the roots. This allows the plant to use more of its energy to grow upwards.

Why should I use hydroponics?

You can achieve quicker growth rates and increased yields. Other benefits include: year round gardening, efficient use of space, minimal wastage and less pesticide usage. Hydroponically grown fruit and vegetables can also taste better than those grown in soil.

How difficult is hydroponics?

It can be really easy; there’s something for all levels and abilities. If you’re new to soilless gardening, we advise using one of our hydroponic starter kits.
